Tours and things to do near Swansea
Bookable tours and activities around Swansea, the Gower and the rest of South Wales, listed on GetYourGuide. We describe each one from its own listing page, checked 25 October 2026.
First: Kilvey Hill itself is free
You don't need a tour to visit Kilvey Hill. It's a community woodland that's open to walkers, although some paths are fenced off or diverted while Skyline Swansea is being built. Skyline isn't open yet, so nobody can sell tickets for the gondola or luge. See what's open now and our free list of things to do near Kilvey Hill.
Gower Peninsula cliffs and Mumbles day tour
A small-group day tour from Cardiff or Swansea, run by Explore Wales Tours. Here's what the listing says:
- Length: about 8 hours, with a live guide who speaks English. Groups are limited to 15 people.
- Pick-up: the listing gives two pick-up points: Dylan Thomas Square and City United Reformed Church (Cardiff). Check which one fits when you book.
- Route: Swansea Marina, free time in Mumbles village (the pier and views of Mumbles lighthouse), Bracelet Bay, Langland Bay with an optional cliff-top walk of about 2 km to Caswell Bay, and then Rhossili Bay.
- Good to know: it isn't suitable for children under 4, and you can't bring large luggage. The operator says the route can change because of the weather.

Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) waterfalls and heritage day tour
GetYourGuide calls this one "Cardiff: National Park, Waterfalls & Heritage Day Tour". It's run by Explore Wales Tours too. The national park is Bannau Brycheiniog, which is the Brecon Beacons. It starts and ends in Cardiff, at City United Reformed Church, Plas Windsor, CF10 3BZ. The listing doesn't give a Swansea pick-up, so you'd need to get to Cardiff first.
- Length: about 8 hours, in a small group of no more than 15.
- Stops listed: Llandaff Cathedral, a short photo stop at Castell Coch, Henrhyd Falls (the listing calls it the tallest waterfall in South Wales), the ancient Defynnog yew tree, free time in Brecon town and its canal, and the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Visitor Centre.
- Good to know: the path to the waterfall takes about 20 minutes each way and can be steep, uneven and muddy, so wear boots. The listing says the tour isn't suitable for children under 4 or people with mobility impairments.

Before you book
- Bookings are made with GetYourGuide and the tour operator, not with us. Questions about a booking go to them.
- Read the cancellation terms, meeting point and what's included on the listing. These can differ between dates.
- Coastal and hill walks in Wales get wet and muddy, so bring proper shoes and a waterproof.
