Where to stay near Kilvey Hill
Kilvey Hill is close to central Swansea, so most visitors will stay in the city or along the bay. Here are the areas that make sense, and why. We do not list individual hotels yet.
Swansea city centre
The handiest base if you are coming by train. Bus 52 links Swansea railway station and the bus station with Landore Park & Ride, where the gondola will start, about every 20 minutes from Monday to Saturday (Swansea Council, First Bus).
Maritime Quarter and the marina
Close to the beach, the promenade and the National Waterfront Museum (Museum Wales). Good if you want the seaside and the city in one stay.
Landore and Morfa (near the stadium)
Around Landore Park & Ride, the Copperworks and Penderyn, where the gondola will start. The Swansea.com Stadium was built alongside Morfa Retail Park (Swansea City). Handy for match days and, from 2028, for the gondola.
Mumbles
A seaside village at the end of Swansea Bay (First Bus guide). Further from the hill, but a lovely base for a longer trip.
